Where do I Start?
Many people are not sure if there is a problem with alcohol or drug use. We can provide a comprehensive evaluation to help you decide, and recommend some “next steps” to consider. All evaluations are absolutely confidential.
We find that most adults are able to make positive behavior changes when provided with good information about their life situation. Keep in mind: this is the beginning, and it may take repeated efforts to resolve the substance abuse issue.
For those adolescents with issues arising from initial substance abuse, we provide information and skills to reduce the risk of consequences from continued use.
Evaluations are conducted in order to assess if a client is in need of outpatient services (treatment). Evaluations can typically be scheduled within 48-72 hours from initial contact. We accept most insurances, but also have a self-pay/sliding scale fee (evaluations are $135 without insurance, if treatment is recommended fees vary depending on income). Evaluations can be scheduled by calling the intake office at either one of our clinics.
What to Bring to Your Evaluation
- Insurance Card
- Photo ID (not required for under 18)
- Medication Documentation
- Arrest report, names/phone numbers of 2 collateral contacts (only if you need the evaluation due to a DWI or Driver’s license requirement)
All of our treatment recommendations are based on the individual need of the client, however often include individual sessions, group sessions and random urine screen/breath tests. The length of treatment is based on personal need and progress. Family involvement is encouraged and clients are encouraged to explore outside sober support programs such as AA/NA.
Staff are trained to help identify additional areas of help, and to make referrals to these sources. Some individuals may require hospital detoxification, while others may need inpatient treatment. We typically encourage involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon/Alateen, Narcotics Anonymous, and other support networks. As a service to the local recovery community, we also have a list of Twelve Step Program meetings in our area. Referrals may also include; therapy, other forms of counseling, as well as mental health, and family treatment.
Our certified counselors will meet with family members, friends and employers to discuss and prepare how to communicate with someone who has yet to confront their chemical dependency problem. Please call for an appointment.
For additional information; prices, sliding-scale fees, specific insurances accepted, or a list of local meetings, please call us during our business hours. Dial 607.737.5215, and press 0 to speak with a representative from the clinic.
In all situations, empathy, respect, and a Code of Ethics provide the basis for our services.
ALL OF OUR OUTPATIENT SERVICES ARE CONFIDENTIAL AND PROTECTED BY FEDERAL CONFIDENTIALITY LAWS AND HIPAA.
